Venue

The ICAST2027 Conference is being held at the University of Tennessee Conference Center, 600 Henley St. Knoxville, TN.

All activities will occur on the 4th floor. You access the building using the doors on the side of Locust Street, which is directly across the street (west of) the Hilton Hotel. The elevators are located at the end of the hall when entering from Locust St (follow the signs).

Travel

The destination airport to Knoxville is McGhee Tyson Airport; TYS is the 3-letter identifier.

Shuttles from the airport to the conference hotels are not provided; however, a taxi stand exists at TYS and Uber/Lift drivers usually responded within 10 minutes of making a request.

For those arriving by car, you can park at the Locust Street Parking Garage and receive a voucher for parking at the ICAST2027 Registration desk. The hotels also have parking.

International Travelers

If you are traveling to the USA from another country, a visitor visa is required unless your country is a member of the U.S. Visa Waiver Program. We recommend that you contact the U.S. embassy in your country to understand travel requirements.

If you need a visitor visa, you can apply using the online DS-160 form and may need to schedule an interview at the U.S. embassy in your country. The visa type for a scientific conference is a B-1 visa. If you plan to do tourism before or after ICAST2026 you will apply for a B-2 visa also. The entire process can take several months so please plan in advance.
